Does cucumber help to cure acne??

I have heard that cucumber helps to cure acne?? Is this true?? Does anyone have any natural homemade recipes that i could use to help clear up my skin?

Although cucumbers have been valued as an ingredient in skincare preparations, there is no scientific proof that their extract is beneficial to the skin or that slices over the eyes will have a reviving effect.


Cucumber has been used in traditional cultures for its mild cleansing effect.


Take half a Lebanese cucumber or a portion of a larger cucumber, peel it, then grate the flesh. Combine with 2 tbsp of fresh milk, 1 tsp of moisturiser and a small cube of chilled tofu. Blend then paint onto skin, leave for 20 minutes and rinse off with cool water.


Honey Face Mask - Mix together 1 teaspoon of powdered skim milk with half a teaspoon of honey. Beat with an egg white until thoroughly blended. Apply thickly to face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water and follow with a splash of cold water. This unclogs pores and combats excessive oiliness.Does cucumber help to cure acne??
Not sure about acne exactly never heard of that one but you do put cucumber on your eyes to reduce the puffyness, so i suppose it could reduce the swelling of a spot also. But i don't believe it has any antibacterial properties. I loved tea tree oil when i had acne. You can put it on neat, or i used to put drops in a hot water bowl then put my face over the steam. My face felt so clean afterwards.


I've done the ole put toothpaste on the spot thing too, but that only works cos it dries up the area - it can make it a little sore.
Cucumber juice helps tighten the pores and leave your skin smooth but it doesn't necessarily cure acne.
