Ways to cure acne or pimples?

but if you guys tried a product that was really good and worked please post up the brand ^^

also, i drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits, %26amp; veggies. fried food and meat are not really my favorite.. so i only eat them once in awhile..

I've suffered from acne for many years. I've tried everything from Tetracycline and Accutane to no avail. I was so tired of seeing the dermatologist and not seeing any improvements until one doctor actually felt bad for me and prescribed Retin-A. It was just like night and day. Not only did it improve my skin but the spots from the acne I had picked on had dramatically disappeared.

I don't use Retin-A anymore as the acne does not show up as much. I still get acne now and then but it is mostly minor and it does not scar unless I totally pick on it. So another advice is to not pick on your zits.

Lately, I have been using Proactiv (for a year now) and it's pretty much safe. It does make my skin look a lot healthier that's why I still use the product before I go to bed.

Acne is caused by hereditary (i.e., parents, grandparents), lifestyle (i.e., stress levels, cleanliness, how much we sleep, etc.) and/or diet. I try to avoid sodas, fried food and sweets. Sometimes the urge is there and I still eat/drink junk but I trained myself to limit consumption. Overall, controlling acne is a lifestyle. In time you will find what works best for you (everyone is different). The challenge now is to investigate. Hope my story helps. Goodluck!Ways to cure acne or pimples?
Acne is a bacteria that needs to be killed. Witch Hazel is also works great.. it is a little smelly, but you can use a cotton ball or wash cloth. It will tke away the oiliness. `Tea Tree Oil will kill out the bacteria or weaken it enough not to bother you. Apply it to the effected areas with a q-tip or cotton ball after you have washed.

You should get a good multivitamin(highly suggest) with vitamin a,c,e,d and zinc.. this should help tons! Eating carrots also helps.. there is beta-carotene (Vitamin A) in them which helps prevent acne and repair the skin. Take zinc, zinc is a antibacterial agent.

Also, change/wash your pillow case and sheets every other day.

If you decide to use a topical. Azelaic Acid is a great natural acid that reduces the growth of bacteria, restores the skins cells and reduces inflammation.
There are various (sometimes too many!) causes of Acne.

If due to hormonal causes (and could be the case with you), there's really nothing much you can do except to wait it out. Of course if it's too serious then you may need medical intervention...antibiotics, Roaccutane creams etc...

Proper cleansing is necessary, but twice a day is enough. Too much washing can also cause further weakening of the skin's barrier function.

You may try Neem natural herbal extract. Neem is known for its blood cleansing properties. Of course drink lots of water daily. Have enough sleep every night. These are the best ';natural'; remedies :))

One most important point though - Keep your fingers off your face! Most transmission of bacteria occurs that way.

Anyway just to let you know you are not alone...I have the same question as you too! So when I follow my own advices above, and still get pimples, then I like to blame it on HORMONES!!

Cheers! :))

I've been trying different things for the past year, and what I've found works best (for me anyway)

I use proactiv, and it works wonderfully, but when i DO get a breakout --- This is what works miracles for me:

Tea Tree oil - I dip a cotton swab in it, and dab it on any pimples. do this every half an hour you are at home... follow 15 min later with a good moisterizer to prevent too much drying.

Aloe Vera - you can buy it in gel form (what i like best) it helps heal the skin way faster than neosporin ...

drink like 3 cups of chammomile tea a day

drink lots of water

eat fish

take vitamin pills

watch your face with NATURAL face washes like Burts Bees face washes before you go to bed and when you wake up

work out a lot so you can sweat out toxins.

this all works for me.
this is the best product ever. Even though it is for blackheads, it keeps the pores clean. That's what you need. You can use it and in 3 days, your face is clear.

really no cure, but i wash my face good with an oil free wash and then apply rubbing alcohol to a cottonball and swip that over my face...you would be suprise to see what is left!
