The only thing i'm aware of is Retinoic Acid, sold as Ro-accutane. its a tablet you take once a day for i think 6 weeks. the active ingredient is a vitamin (vitamin A) derivative that targets the skin cells that produce oil. It works, but its nasty. i went on it because i had bad acne persisting into my early 20s. It causes very dry skin, especially lips and inside of the nose, while you are on it. also causes mood swings, pretty bad sometimes.

THere are a lot of preparations that are available to lessen acne, mostly antibiotic creams and such, which work well for some people. your doctor will most likely recommend these. they may work well for you. if they don't, ask to be referred to a dermatologist, as most family doctors will not prescribe ro-accutane.

your dermatologist will run through options more thoroughly, and explain about ro-accutane and the problems with it. don't use it unless you are sure about it. its tough, but it works.
well if u have bad acne yourself, u need to make an appointment with ur GP. they will prescribe you something that should clear it, or at least improve it. i wont cure right away, it will take a while, and u may need to try many products before the doctor finds the right one for your skin. but yea, go make an appointment, u may even get something in a tablets form.
the real cure for acne is a drug called roaccutane.

It is available from your Dr by prescription.

My daughter had severe acne. It wasn't until she was 20 and had scarring on her face and shoulders that we discovered this cure.

It really is a cure. go see your Dr. good luck.
You can take medication, or buy sorts of cream that make it go away quite a bit. Scratching and picking does nothing but leave scars. Talk to a doctor.
Accutane / roaccutane.

Speak to a dermatologist first.
